Company history
2005
On June 8th ,2005 the annual general meeting of Optovent AB, listed on Aktietorget, approved the company board’s proposal to acquire all shares in Accelerator i Linköping AB, to merge the business of the two companies and to change the name of the company to Accelerator i Linköping AB.
Optovent had for some years been marketing and selling FORE, Fiber Optic Respirometry, OptoQ and HemoQlip, technologies developed by the company, but the company board was not satisfied with the results. The Board of Optovent considered that Optovent’s shareholders had the options of either seeking to staunch losses by trying to make the most of the risks and opportunities embedded in the then existing assets of Optovent, or further developing the business model utilized with the HemoQlip-project, which led to the licensing agreement with Fresenius.
The corporation, Accelerator, that was created through the AGM resolution on June 8th , 2005, develops projects within biotechnology, pharma and medical devices.
2007
The subsidiaries PledPharma AB, Spago Imaging AB and SyntheticMR AB where founded.
2008
Accelerator i Linköping AB changed company name to Accelerator Nordic AB. The subsidiary AddBIO AB was founded.
2011
Accelerator’s shares in PledPharma AB were distributed to Accelerator’s shareholders and PledPharma was listed as a separate company on NASDAQ OMX First North.
