ProtR-C
Improves the outcome of cisplatin chemotherapy
ProtR-C is a drug delivery platform for targeted and local delivery of cytotoxic drugs directly to the tumor site. This has the potential to both improve treatment effectiveness as well as reduce unwanted side effects.
The first application is focused on the use of ProtR-C as a carrier for cisplatin. Cisplatin is a very potent cytotoxic drug, but the use of cisplatin is today limited due to severe-side effects. Through delivering cisplatin directly to the tumor, ProtR-C has the potential to improve efficiency at lower doses, and reducde the harm inflicted on healthy tissue.
